Savroc has collected an over 1 million euro funding round, allowing the company to build a technology center to Kuopio, Finland and to accelerate its international sales operations of the company’s innovative TripleHard® trivalent hard chromium coating.
In addition to investments made by the existing owners, Acme Investments SPF Sarl, Balance Capital Oy and Novare Oy joined the company as new investors. The existing owners of the company are EAKR-Aloitusrahasto, Nostetta Oy, Capillary Oy, Hydroline Oy, Vesa Kumpulainen, Jukka Laakkonen, Mikko Laakkonen, Manu Leinonen, inventors of the Savroc technology Juha Miettinen and Jussi Räisä, and Savroc’s CEO Osmo Jahkola.
Important partners of the company have been Finnvera, TEKES, the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment and hydraulic cylinder manufacturer Hydroline Oy. Savroc conducts research cooperation with the University of Eastern Finland and Savonia University of Applied Sciences. The issue of shares was organized with the lead investors Nostetta Oy and Capillary Oy, and in cooperation with Oragon Partners Oy and legal advisor Lukander Ruohola Oy.
Savroc’s technology has been tested in a pilot facility in a Spanish coating company Tecnocrom Industrial AS, where the patent pending TripleHard® coating has been successfully used in variety of industrial components for two years. The funding allows Savroc to aggressively seek growth and to launch TribleHard® coating in global markets.
