Get TripleHard®

Implementing a Cr(VI)-free hard chrome replacement through a licensed industrial model

Hard chrome replacement at industrial scale requires more than regulatory compliance. TripleHard® is deployed in high-volume industrial applications through licensed production cells installed on OEM and Tier-1 lines. Engagement starts with application fit and technical validation — not off-the-shelf chemistry.
Hard chrome replacement for industrial production

Who TripleHard® is for

TripleHard® is designed for industrial organizations transitioning away from Cr(VI) in high-volume production.

OEMs

TripleHard® supports OEMs replacing Cr(VI) in serial production components where performance, compliance and long-term availability are critical.

Tier-1 manufacturers

For Tier-1 suppliers operating coating lines and delivering regulated components at scale, TripleHard® enables a controlled and repeatable production model.

Industrial coating partners

Industrial partners running electroplating lines can deploy TripleHard® through a licensed production cell, integrating it into existing operations.

Why TripleHard® works as a hard chrome replacement

Replacing Cr(VI) at industrial scale requires more than regulatory compliance. Most alternatives fail due to performance trade-offs, scalability or cost structure.

Option 1: Cr(VI) hard chrome

Primary limitation

Regulatory risk, carcinogenic exposure and limited long-term availability.

Why TripleHard is different

Designed as a Cr(VI)-free process that meets industrial performance requirements without authorization dependency.

Option 2: Thermal spray / PVD

Primary limitation

High CAPEX, energy-intensive processes and limited suitability for high-volume serial production.

Why TripleHard is different

Electroplating-based process compatible with existing production infrastructure and serial manufacturing economics.

Option 3: Other Cr(III) chemistries

Primary limitation

Lab-scale solutions that struggle with bath lifetime, process stability or heavy-duty performance.

Why TripleHard is different

Engineered for industrial bath stability, repeatable quality and heavy-duty applications.

Key outcomes at industrial scale

When deployed in serial production, TripleHard® delivers measurable operational and economic outcomes.

Performance

TripleHard® is designed to meet demanding wear and corrosion requirements in selected industrial applications without compromising throughput.

Compliance

The process eliminates hexavalent chromium exposure and supports compliance in regulated industrial environments.

Economics

Higher productivity and process stability replace the hidden operational costs associated with Cr(VI) and alternative technologies.

Industrial validation underway

TripleHard® has been validated in demanding OEM programs and is entering reference production in selected applications.

How TripleHard® is deployed

TripleHard® is implemented through a licensed industrial production model designed for repeatable quality, regulatory compliance and scalable deployment.

Step 1

Application fit & validation

Deployment starts with validating whether TripleHard® is a suitable hard chrome replacement for the specific component and operating conditions. The assessment focuses on performance requirements, regulatory constraints and process compatibility before any production deployment.

Typical focus areas include hydraulics, engine valves and shock absorbers.

Step 2

Licensed production cell

TripleHard® is deployed as a controlled production cell installed on an OEM or Tier-1 line. The license covers process control, quality assurance and auditability — ensuring consistent and repeatable results.

Savroc does not sell chemistry. TripleHard® is available only under an active license.

Step 3

Scale through replication

Once validated, production is scaled by replicating licensed cells across existing lines. Scaling follows a controlled ramp-up supported by training, monitoring and process governance.

How responsibilities are divided

Savroc provides

  • Technology license
  • Chemistry specification and recipes
  • Process control and QA framework
  • Training, audits and process governance

Partners operate

  • Production lines and daily operations

  • Chemicals, consumables and utilities

  • Spare parts and local maintenance

  • Throughput and operational performance
