Savroc and Caterpillar, the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, are collaborating on the use of TripleHard chromium coating technology, a trivalent hard-chromium coating with a sustainable application process pioneered by Savroc intended to work in a wide range of applications.
Caterpillar will explore the potential of Savroc’s TripleHard technology on a variety of components expected to benefit from the expected improvement to corrosion and wear resistance. In addition, Caterpillar recognizes that coatings based on trivalent chromium are widely seen as providing a more environmentally sustainable solution than traditional chrome plating.
